Napkin 2

I am freshman journalism major at UF. I am very motivated and hard working, and I am determined to succeed in what I do. I have always wanted to become a travel journalist, however, once I got into college, I realized that I wanted to do something more. Journalist are only ever to tell the truth through writing, but then have to sit back and watch without giving their opinion or fighting for the cause. I want to be the next step. Hopefully through advocacy law, I can do this, and my business concept is just the start of all of this. Through advocacy law, I hope to fight for social issues and issues that often go unseen. The California housing crisis is too often ignored, and by creating a possible solution and raising awareness I am able to start this journey. I am proposing an efficient way to help homeless people get off the streets and start normal lives, in addition to having more affordable housing for the people who can't afford the housing right now. BY having houses that are rehabilitation centers as well as lower price housing areas, there can be a lot of progress made. I am offering this to those who need it. For people who can't afford their housing, lots with affordable prices need to be made so this will be subsequently easier, where people are just moving into the more affordable housing lots. The rehabilitation and living centers are for people who are homeless and can't get back onto their feet because of the situation at hand. Customers will care because it is a part of necessities to have a shelter and somewhere to start your life over again. There have been lots of attempts at this idea, and are some currently. It has been tried, just not in this way, and not on the scale it needs to be. By starting with a plan, there can be ideas to build upon this, for example building more high rise and affordable apartments so we can have more people in the same proximity. This issue has been there for so long, and the difference between me and the people trying to solve it is no one is taking action. Everyone is too afraid to waste funding on these ideas, but then the problem worsens and they are not relevant. The point is, I am very determined to help solve this issue and hope that I can find ways to start to try and solve it, one way or another. These five events definitely bring together my business more because people want to know why you care and why you are willing to fight and not just give up. I think by getting to know the individual and their plans a business can have much stronger roots.

  1. Good Morning Anna,
I admire your initiative and your ability to synthesize a career path from your interests and passions. This idea is just another example of you combining your interests into an idea. This is such a valuable skill, because your work is much greater when you have true passion and care for your work. How was you last idea napkin and did you receive any feedback?
